La Flor Dominicana Event

I went to the La Flor Dominicana event at the Tobacco Shop in Hoover, Al last Wednesday night. Litto Gomez was there and he was one of the most kind and humble men I have ever met. He spent the entire night talking to the patrons as well as giving autographs and having his picture taken with everyone.
The cigars sold like hot cakes and the owner had his best night ever. The cigars were great and I tries the Lancero for the first time. This is an excellent full flavored smoke. With the Lancero you get to taste more of the wrapper. I provided the musical entertainment for the event and at the end, Litto gave me a box of Lanceros and autographed it for me. Then he even bought my dinner at a local Italian restaurant we went to after the event!
It is a night I will never forget. If you haven't tried his line of cigars, you don't know what you are missing!

LOCALCIGAR.COM is up and running!

Finally the website is ready. I have a search link to a special google map for locating local cigar retailers, cigar friendly establishments and local cigar events.
I also have created a nice forum where anyone who registers can post info on local retailers, events and cigar friendly places. It is organized on a state by state level. This should help anyone who is travelling to find local cigar related businesses.
Please post to the site if you have any useful information!!

CIgar Event - Hoover, Alabama

I played music last night at the Felipe Gregorio event at the Tobacco Shop. It was a great time. Lenin the rep and Juan (the Grade 8 torceador ) inauguratied their new "Origin" line of cigars. They are a line of cigars that have different wrappers. I tried several and they were all great! Give them a try if you get a chance. Juan was rolling some beautiful churchill size cigars. I think I will have one tonight.

NCAA Basketball and Padron 80th Anniv!

Last night I hung out at my favorite cigar shop "The Tobacco Shop" in Hoover, AL and watched the final game of the NCAA Basketball tournament between Memphis and Kansas. I decided to smoke my birthday present, a Padron 80th anniversary 1926. I drank coffee with it and it was a fantastic smoke. It was a gift from the owner. The game and fellowship was great! I can't think of a more relaxing thing to do than to hang out with great friends, smoke a great cigar and watch a great game! Viva la Smoke!

Cigar retailer review - Nashville Tn.

I went to Nashville this past weekend to visit several of the cigar retailers and gather information for the website. One that I visited was "Uptown Cigar", a very nice Cigar Store located in Nashville, Tennessee off hwy 440. It was located in a shopping center but they were in the midst of moving across the street. The sales staff was very courteous and knowledgeable.
They are an authorized Davidoff dealer so if you like those, please be sure to pay them a visit. They also carry and extensive line of Padron's Ashton, La Flor Dominicana, etc. They carry ST Dupont lighters as well as very nice writing instruments. I purchased their remaining stock of Davidoff Millenium Petit Coronas. Yummy! If you haven't tried those you don't know what you are missing!
